Book #2 Update!!

Hello friends! :)

It has been a while since I have given an update on book #2, so I figured I would share some new exciting details.

And if you read through to the end you might just get to read a little snippet of the new book…OH AND be one of the firsts to know the title...

As you may know, my first book (Deeply Rooted) released back in December and my second book is already in the works. However, book #2 will be my first ever full Romance/Comedy novel, and I will just say that writing this has definitely been a challenge. Switching from blog/devotion writing to scene building/novel writing has been a bit difficult at times. But nonetheless, it is still so much fun to watch all the pieces fall in line.

As I am currently working on and writing book #2, I figured I would update you guys on the process. I just finished the VERY ROUGH draft of the book and am now going back and adding some filler, fixing mistakes, and rewriting a few scenes. And I will just say…I am loving it! It is all finally coming together the way I originally pictured it to. I catch myself going back and rereading certain chapters and giggling and kicking my feet. I just LOVE love!!  I literally sit there and blush over scenes and words THAT I WROTE lol.

A few days ago, I sat at my desk at work and the title for this book just came to me. I immediately got on my fav design website (Canva) and started working on a cover. Now obviously I won’t be sharing the cover until it is completely finished but, the title I am willing to share early. I am so excited to share this story with you guys and am still planning on a Summer 2024 release date. I sure hope I can get it all finished by then so… fingers crossed!

WRITTEN IN THE SAND

Ah I just love it so much!!

And since I am in just such a giving mood here is a little snippet from Written in the Sand (Ahh I can’t get over how fitting it is for the storyline).

** The song plays out in the background as we get lost in the music. It sounds muffled; all of my focus is on Jaxon right now. People surround us dancing and making their way across the floor just as we do. I am lost. Lost in the music, in his eyes, in the way he is holding me. To me it feels like there is no one there but the two of us. He begins to slide his hand down further and further, grazing the center of my spine. I flinch at the feeling. His cold fingertips tracing my back as we get lost in yet another song. I can’t even look up at him right now. I will take one look into those eyes, and I would fall. But who am I kidding, I already have. I fell for him the first summer we spent together, and I don’t think I’ve ever gotten up. I don’t know if I ever will, or if I even want to anymore. But if I look up at him and see the way he is looking at me right now, I will want to risk it. I will want to kiss him. To feel his lips brush against mine, feel his hands grab my face and pull me in for another one, look into his eyes after the moment has passed and know that he feels the same. But right now, I just can’t bring myself to be that brave. So, for now, we dance and laugh and act like these moments don’t mean something more. Though after tonight, I don’t know how much longer I can keep up this act.
