To Be Seen

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry for help.

Psalm 34:15

Have you ever felt like you were utterly alone in this world? Like even in a crowded room you would go unseen?

This world can be loud and chaotic, easy to get lost in the crowd and easy to feel invisible.

But here is an incredible truth; God sees us.

Though it’s not always that easy to understand and live by this truth. For me, I know there are times where doubt creeps in and I feel unnoticed. That feeling of being unseen takes over and I fight with thoughts like; “No one truly sees what I go through.” or “No one understands my hurt.” But the truth is, God sees. He sees what others don’t. He sees what is hidden behind the walls I have built up. He sees what I don't always share with others and He hears my cries.

Lord, you have searched me and known me. You know when I stand up; you understand my thoughts from far away. You observe my travels and my rest; you are aware of all my ways.

Psalm 139:1-3

There is a comfort in knowing this. Knowing that God sees us in our moments of joy, our struggles, and even in our quietest thoughts. He knows our hearts. Every tear we shed, every dream we nurture, and every doubt that creeps in—God is there, intimately aware and deeply invested.

In God, we are fully known and deeply loved.

Being fully known and seen by God is such an amazing truth to hold onto. In a world where we often wear masks and hide our true selves, God sees us exactly as we are—our strengths, our struggles, and our innermost thoughts. It's not just about Him knowing us; it’s a comforting reminder that we’re deeply valued and understood. God knows our hearts better than we know them ourselves, allowing us to be authentic; to bring our joys, fears, and doubts to Him without fear of judgment. In every moment, we can find comfort in the reality that we are never alone; we are fully known and seen by the Creator. God sees the inner workings of our heart. He hears our cries and prayers and walks beside us, guiding our path along the way. Whether we’re blending into a crowded city street or scrolling through social media and feeling overlooked, His gaze is always on us. God knows our struggles, our dreams, and even the little things that weigh on our hearts. When we feel invisible, His love and attention remind us that we matter. We don’t have to shout to be heard or perform to be valued—God sees us in our quiet moments and loves us just as we are.
